Completing Surveys
How to find and answer a program survey as a mentor or mentee, and what anonymity means for your response.
Your program admin may send out surveys to check in on how things are going. As a mentor or mentee, the Surveys page in your sidebar is where you find and answer them.
Finding a Survey
The Surveys page lists every survey currently open to you, each with its name, type (Post-Meeting, Mid-Program, or End of Program), and how many questions it has. If you've already answered one, its card shows View your response instead of a Take survey button, so you can always look back at what you submitted. If no surveys are open right now, the page simply says so.
Answering a Survey
Click Take survey to open it. If it's a Post-Meeting survey and you have more than one active match, you'll be asked which match or meeting it's about before you can continue.
Anonymity
Every survey discloses upfront whether your answers are tied to your identity. Look for the banner at the top of the form:
- "This survey is anonymous. Your name is not attached to your answers."
- "Your responses are attributed to you."
Which one you see depends on how your admin set up that particular survey, not on your program as a whole, different surveys in the same program can use different settings.
Note
Anonymous doesn't mean untraceable to your admin's reporting, only that your individual answers aren't linked back to your name when results are reviewed. Read the banner on each survey rather than assuming based on a previous one.
Expiry
Surveys can have a close date. Once that date passes, the survey stops accepting responses and disappears from your active list. If a survey you meant to answer is no longer showing up, it most likely closed, either on schedule or because your admin ended it early. There's no way to submit a response after that point, so it's worth answering surveys promptly once they appear.
After You Submit
Your response is saved as soon as you submit it. Revisit it anytime from the View your response link on that survey's card, you can't change your answers after submitting, but you can always see what you sent.
