Built for program administrators
Every feature is designed around the real work of running a mentoring program, not just the happy path.
PAIR Matching Engine
Five dimensions, scored for every pair: skills, goals, seniority, availability, and cross-functional fit. No more random assignments or spreadsheet luck.
AI Copilot
Every session gets smarter with AI-generated prep, summaries, goal suggestions, and skill gap analysis. Your participants show up prepared.
Mentoring Formats
1:1 mentoring, group mentoring, Circles (peer groups), and reverse mentoring. Run any format, or mix them, within a single program.
Goal Tracking
Participants set goals, break them into milestones, and track progress over time. Admins get a real-time view of program-wide outcomes.
Analytics & Reporting
Engagement, satisfaction, and outcome data in the admin dashboard. DEI analytics, cohort metrics, a leadership readiness rollup, and scheduled reports for leadership.
MCP Server
Claude and other MCP-compatible assistants can query your program data natively: no custom integrations required.
Mentor Recognition
Every completed goal, milestone, and mentee reflection feeds back to the mentor who helped make it happen, automatically. Mentors build a portfolio of validated coaching skill, without anyone compiling it by hand.
PAIR Matching Engine
Five dimensions, one compatibility score
Bad matches waste everyone's time. PAIR uses AI to score compatibility across five dimensions, so every pairing has a meaningful foundation from day one.
- Skills: Current skills vs. development gaps
- Goals: Career goals and growth trajectory
- Seniority: Experience level and mentoring style
- Availability: Scheduling compatibility and time zone
- Cross-functional fit: Department diversity scoring (Growth and above)
5
matching dimensions
Skills, goals, seniority, availability, and cross-functional fit, scored together to surface the pairs most likely to succeed.
AI Copilot
Prep, summaries and insight, written for you
The AI Copilot doesn't replace the mentoring relationship. It supports it. Participants spend less time on logistics and more time on the conversations that drive growth.
- Meeting prep briefs tailored to the agenda
- Automated session summaries after each meeting
- Goal suggestions based on mentee profile and progress
- Skill gap analysis comparing profile to career goals
MCP Server
For AI assistants
MentorStack ships a native MCP server. Claude and other MCP-compatible assistants can connect directly to your program data: no custom integrations, no exports.
Everything included
Reporting and export start on Starter, along with program applications, bulk invite, Slack, Teams and org-specific skills. Scheduled reports, HRIS, SSO, DEI analytics and custom branding start on Growth.
Common questions about features
- How does PAIR matching work?
- PAIR (Personalized AI Ranking) scores every potential mentor-mentee pair across five dimensions: skills alignment, career goals, seniority match, scheduling availability, and cross-functional fit. Each dimension is weighted and scored, then combined into a compatibility score. Admins review suggested matches and can override any pairing before it goes live.
- Does MentorStack support multiple mentoring formats?
- Yes. MentorStack supports four formats: 1:1 (classic pairing), Group (one mentor with multiple mentees), Circles (peer groups with no designated mentor), and Reverse (junior employee mentors a senior). You can run multiple formats simultaneously within a single program. Circles can have a facilitator role, fixed, manually passed between members, or automatically rotating weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Reverse mentoring can be admin-proposed, or self-nominated: a team member proposes themselves as a reverse mentor to a senior colleague, who accepts.
- What AI features are included?
- MentorStack includes an AI Copilot that generates pre-session prep briefs, automated post-session summaries, goal suggestions based on mentee profile, and skill gap analysis. The platform also ships a native MCP server so Claude and other MCP-compatible assistants can query your live program data directly.
- How does goal tracking work?
- Mentees set goals at the start of a mentoring relationship and break them into milestones. Mentors comment and help complete milestones. Progress is tracked over time and visible to both participants. Admins get a program-wide view of goal completion rates, making it easy to identify pairs that need support.
- What admin reporting is available?
- Admins have a dashboard, refreshed about every minute, showing meeting attendance and message volume per match, plus five program health indicators (Skill Lift, Goal Velocity, Retention, Cross-Functional Matches on Growth and above, and eNPS), and a Leadership Readiness rollup of goal velocity, skill lift, badges, and tenure per participant, on every plan. A one-click nudge lets admins send a check-in email and in-app notification to both people in an at-risk match. Report export, including the Leadership Readiness CSV, is available on Starter and above; Growth plan users can also schedule automated report delivery for leadership. DEI analytics are available as an aggregate-only overlay to protect participant privacy.
