AI Copilot Features

MentorStack includes a set of AI-powered features that help mentors prepare for sessions, capture what was discussed, and surface insights for program admins. These features use AI credits: a usage-based allowance included with your plan.

Pre-session agendas

Before a scheduled meeting, MentorStack can generate a suggested agenda based on the mentee's active goals, recent progress, and any action items from previous sessions. MentorStack also generates one automatically for the mentee when a meeting is scheduled, at no credit cost. The button regenerates it.

To generate an agenda:

1. Open the meeting from your Meetings page
2. Click Generate AI Prep. Once a prep exists, this button becomes Regenerate.
3. Review and edit the suggestion before your session

The agenda is private to the person it was generated for. Your match does not see it, so share anything useful with them yourself.

Post-session summaries (both participants)

After a meeting, either participant wraps it up with Wrap up meeting, which asks "What happened in this meeting?" That answer is what MentorStack summarizes. There is no separate "generate summary" button: once you wrap up the meeting, MentorStack runs a background job that produces an AI recap, and both participants see it, read-only, on the meeting.

While the recap is generating, the meeting shows a short "generating" indicator in place of the recap.

Summaries are based on the wrap-up notes you entered. MentorStack does not record or transcribe calls.

Goal suggestions (mentees)

When a mentee is setting goals, MentorStack can suggest relevant goals based on their profile, skills, and what they are working toward.

1. Go to Goals → New goal
2. Click AI Assist, then Suggest Goals from Profile
3. Select or customize suggestions

On the same AI Assist menu, once you add a description and a target date, you can also use Generate Milestones, Fill SMART Fields, and Suggest Improvements.

Goal suggestions work best when the mentee's profile includes at least 3 skills and a filled-in "What are you working toward?" answer.

AI credits

Each interactive AI request you make (a meeting agenda, any AI Assist action on a goal, or Suggest from profile for skills on your profile) uses one AI credit. If the request fails, the credit is returned. The automatic agenda and the post-meeting recap do not use credits. Every person has their own credit balance. Credits are not shared, and unused credits do not carry over. Your balance resets once a month on your organization's billing date, also on annual plans. On the Free Pilot, it resets on the day your organization signed up.

When your credits are exhausted, AI features are unavailable to you until your next reset. Other people keep their own credits. You can see your remaining credits and your reset date in the sidebar.
