Can one person set up and run a mentoring program?
Yes, for a program owner with no services team behind them. You sign up yourself without a sales call, invite participants, choose a format and let matching pair people on skills, goals, seniority and availability. There is no required implementation project. The Free Pilot covers up to 10 people. Bulk invite from a list starts on Starter.
How do you see which pairs need attention?
MentorStack flags matches that have gone inactive, so you do not have to check each pair by hand. From that flag you can send a one-click nudge. It emails both people and adds an in-app notification. A nudge can go out once per match per day, which keeps it from turning into spam.
What does MentorStack not do for you?
It does not automatically replace a participant, re-pair a match or recover someone who has dropped out. It detects the inactivity and prompts both people. You decide what happens next, such as a new match or ending the pairing. Plan to spend time on those cases, because the software does not handle them for you.
What reporting does a lean team get?
Every plan has a basic program dashboard. Report generation and export start on the Starter plan, at $12 per participant per month or $10.20 billed annually, so you can hand a sponsor a report. Growth, at $20 or $17 annually, adds scheduled reports. Free Pilot admins can see health but cannot export.

Common questions
- Can one person run a mentoring program without admin help?
- One program owner can run a program within limits. They can sign up without a sales call, invite people in bulk, match them, and see which pairs have gone quiet. MentorStack does not automatically replace a participant or re-pair a match, so the owner still decides those cases.
- How does a solo owner find quiet pairs?
- MentorStack flags an at-risk match after 14 days without activity by default, and shows it on the admin dashboard. The owner can then send a one-click nudge, which delivers a check-in email and an in-app notification to both people, without drafting a message.
- What does MentorStack not automate for a program owner?
- MentorStack does not automatically replace a participant, re-pair a match or recover a drop-out. It detects inactive matches and supports an admin-triggered nudge. Admins also approve matches in admin-guided programs, so judgment calls about people stay with the program owner.
- Which plan does a solo program owner need?
- The Free Pilot covers up to 10 participants for a first cohort. Bulk invite, reporting and export start on Starter, and scheduled reports start on Growth. A solo owner who must report to a sponsor will usually need Starter, which costs $12 per active participant per month.
